Carl Sagan's Pale Blue Dot

NPR's Science Friday had Carl Sagan's widow, Ann Druyan (pronounced Dree-yen), on a few weeks ago discussing the life of her late husband. Ira Flatow, the host of the show, ran an audio clip of an interview he'd done with Carl in 1996 just before his death. Carl describes his experiences seeing the "pale blue dot" (aka Earth), from images beamed back to our planet via the Voyager space mission. Carl's thoughts are as profound today as they were 10 years ago.
You can listen to these thoughts by clicking HERE. Carl's comments start around 30 seconds into the broadcast and go for about a minute and a half.
I hope you enjoy them.

Very nice comments though. I'm sure it was an awe-inspiring sight.

yeah, no doubt. Love those science podcasts from NPR. There's another great one at National Geographic. Here's the link for AFTER you finish the beast, I mean, thesis.
