Going back to South Carolina on the 29th.

Looks like my Dad's situation has become more serious after his latest biopsy and tissue sample surgery last Friday. My sister and I are going to head to South Carolina this upcoming Sunday to be with him and help out my Mom. Will keep you posted on how things are going on that front.
A bit of an aside, but still related to my Dad's situation, I just started getting into the Science Talk Podcast from Scientific American. Dad, you would totally dig these podcasts. Right up your educational alley.
One of the first episodes I listened to dealt with cancer.
Carl Zimmer was featured and spoke about his Scientific American article Evolved For Cancer? which looks at how natural selection has led to what appears to be an inevitable tendency for human beings to develop the disease.
The ramifications could help scientists further understand cancer's insidious progression in the aging human body and lead to innovative treatments.
I only hope the insights can be gleaned much sooner rather than later.
Please keep my Dad in your thoughts and prayers in the coming weeks and months.

Peace,
Drew
